Bung is a teenager who cares about money, even if he would never make it obvious. He listens, watches and learns while doing his best to look completely unbothered. Financial responsibilities can feel like too much all at once, so his first instinct is often to avoid them and hope they become tomorrow’s problem.

He prefers quiet places where he can think without becoming overwhelmed. Although he enjoys being alone, Bung still values the company of the other characters, especially Bean. Sprouts talks too much, Dang Jagung operates on another level entirely and Pak Ismail somehow makes everything feel more stressful.

Bean understands that Bung is still growing, so he never forces him to learn faster than he is ready for. On rare occasions, a new lesson even brings out a smile. Bung may not realise it yet, but learning about money this early is a privilege that could make the road ahead much easier.
