Skambayau’s name is a playful blend of “scam” and “kembayau”. His design was inspired by the contrasting dark and light colours of the kembayau fruit. He thrives in the shadows, always searching for the easiest person to fool. While the others learn to make wiser money choices, Skambayau studies their habits for a very different reason: to make his tricks harder to spot.

Skambayau is clever, hardworking and always thinking ahead. Unfortunately, he uses those talents for all the wrong reasons. With a crew of fellow tricksters ready to help, even his simplest idea can quickly turn into another elaborate scam shenanigan.

Scams never stand still, and neither does Skambayau. Whenever new tactics appear, he is quick to learn and adapt, often setting his sights on the most trusting member of the cast, Dang Jagung. But every scheme leaves behind a lesson, helping everyone learn to pause, question what they see and stay one step ahead.
