At the heart of Usinwise is Sprouts, one of the original characters introduced when the story first began. Curious, eager and sometimes a little impulsive, he is always ready to discover something new and often only one tap away from buying something he definitely does not need.

Sprouts was inspired by the idea of growth. Like a young sprout reaching upwards, he represents the journey of learning, changing and becoming wiser with money, one lesson at a time. Throughout the Universe of Usinwise, he is often joined by Bean, his patient and caring adviser, whose gentle wisdom helps guide him along the way.

Wherever Sprouts goes, his trusty backpack follows. Inside is a growing collection of notes, observations and lessons gathered from the world around him, many filled with Bean’s wise words. As Sprouts learns, his notes grow, and so does he.
